The local market Altea

has become so popular in recent years it has grown so large that it was decided to divide it into two parts.

 

The normal market with its numerous stalls that offer clothing, shoes and lots of other stuff can be found on the large parking area next to the Cami de l’Algar. It has been asphalted to make room for all the stalls with their products.

The food market with all the fresh served products has moved back to its original spot in the Avenida la Nucia. It has been amplified recently so everyone can safely attend the market while maintaining social distance.

Both parts of the market are connected by the Avenida Valencia, and are less than a 5-minute walk apart.

 

How to get to the local market Altea, by Public Transport

Tram: If you decide to come by tram get off at the Garganes stop.

Bus: Take bus 10 to the stop in Calle del Mar, walk away from the sea in a straight line and cross the pedestrian bridge in the centre. The market is about 150 meters further.
