The Benissa local market is celebrated each Saturday from 8 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon in the centre of the village. They have divided the market over two locations to ensure safety for visitors en sellers. The fresh food stalls are located in the Calle Bilbao. The stalls with other products like clothes and shoes can be found in the Dolores Piera park and the calle Palmera. Benissa is a rather small village and it can be very busy in the areas where this local market is. Because of that, it can be a challenge to park your car nearby when you come later in the morning. On the other hand, this way you can see what an interesting village Benissa really is.

How to get to the local market in Benissa by public transport

The tram-via from Benidorm to Dénia has a stop 3 kilometers away. On top of that, they are doing maintenance work, therefore, a bus is doing the service between Calpe and Dénia. As a result, it is better to use the ALSA bus that drives from Benidorm to Valencia over the N-332. In this way, you can see the beautiful villages that are spread out over the Costa Blanca. Be aware that you do not use the direct bus line from Benidorm to Valencia. It will go there over the AP-7 motorway and not stop in any of the villages or Benissa.
