Plaza del Mercadillo, Dénia
Today's opening hours:
The weekly local market in Denia is located in the area of “Torrecremada Esplanada” each Monday morning from 8 in the morning until 1.30 in the afternoon.
This area is situated at the right of the Avenida de Alicante when arriving at Denia by car on the CV-725 from the AP-7/N-332.
This local market in Dénia is fairly large offering a mix of clothing, ceramics, household goods and a mix of nuts and sweets for both locals and tourists. A traditional churros stall (Spanish pastry) welcomes all visitors at the entrance. If you have small children, it is best to visit the market in June or in fall, as in summer it can be very warm.
Parking nearby can be a challenge, so it is best to park centrally in town and walk your way over there, enjoying the city and having the chance to sit down for a meal when strolling back.
The main bus terminal in the Plaza Juan Carlos is where local and intercity buses, such as ALSA, have a stop. This bus station is at a five-minute walk from the market entrance.
