You can visit the local market Rojales every Thursday of the week just outside the town’s centre. This market has stalls that offer almost everything. Articles such as fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as flowers and clothes at reasonably cheap prices.
The market is located on the left side on the Avenida Justo Quesada next to the Segura river. After you have visited the market you can stroll along the riverbank to the village. There you can enjoy the typical Spanish bars or restaurants that you find in the town centre. You can try a hot chocolate with fritters (churros) in winter or maybe a local wine in summer.
Rojales is situated between the AP-7 motorway to the west and the N-332 coastal road to the east. As a result, you can access the town and the local market Rojales very easily. If you prefer traveling by bus, there is a direct bus line from Alicante to Orihuela, stopping in town.
