GUARDAMAR DEL SEGURA is a town on the Costa Blanca just 30 kilometres south of Alicante and its airport. This town has 11 kilometres of dunes forming a unique vegetation in the area as it is a protected Park. As its name already implicates, the Segura river flows into the sea in this town. As a result, giving it a variety of natural local resources. Since prehistoric times they have offered many cultures a place to live. Nowadays Guardamar is a cosmopolitan town with lots of respect for its rich tradition.

The more than 1000 camping places and over 2000 beds in touristic apartments show how important this town is. First of all for tourism and second for its residents. Together they can enjoy a variety of international and Spanish cuisine and live a relaxed life under the sun.

320 sun days per year with averages minimums of 15 degrees in winter make Guardamar a perfect town to visit. Above all, in spring and autumn as it is not as busy and hot as in summer.

The local bus station in town has two local bus lines. As well as the line that connects Guardamar with Orihuela, Cartagena, Torrevieja and Alicante. Coming from Alicante or Murcia it is most easy to take the N-332 coastal road.
