Finestrat combines the charm of its Cala, a family-friendly beach destination, with the silence of the nature of the high peaks of Puig Campana. La Cala de Finestrat is a true reflection of the feeling of the municipality. It breathes peace and tranquillity. The advantage of having more than 300 days of sunshine per year facilitates the practice of all kinds of water sports on the beach.
HIKING ROUTES
The fabulous environment of the mountain Puig Campana allows nature lovers to enter through various routes clearly marked. From the Font del Moli starting point, hikers can choose from itineraries of more or less duration and different degrees of difficulty, depending on their physical preparation. The most daring visitors will want to reach the summit, with a top elevation of 1.410 meters. Another option offered by this environment is a full tour of the PR V-289, with a distance of 12 kilometres.

Do not forget the undisputed star of this mountainous landscape, called “Tall Rotllà” better known as “El Portell”. Regarding the singularity of The Puig Campana, many legends were written. One of them telling about a knight who cut out a part of the mountain with his sword to allow the sunlight to continue giving life to his beloved. That part was washed away into the sea and formed the Isla de Benidorm (Benidorm’s Island). The legend comes to life every June on the 23rd, summer solstice when the sun sets in the hollow of the mountain.
