A bike ride
The route Denia – Javea by bike offers a tour around the Montgo surrounded by orange and almond trees and orange blossom flowers. This is a perfect recommendation for lovers of nature and healthy living. This tour is about 20 kilometers long with good road signals. The start is at the Plaza Jaume I in Denia.
The route has moderate difficulty, with mainly flat stretches. It passes local attractions such as the Hermitage of Santa Paula, the Riurau of Jesús Pobre, and the Javea beach. It runs along paved agricultural roads and 1.5 kilometers of dirt road.
The Montgó Mountain
This route is very attractive because it will take us around the Montgó mountain range. During the ride, we will be accompanied by the scent of almond trees, orange trees, and vineyards. The best place to take a break is in the village of Jesús Pobre, part of the municipality of Denia. The views are spectacular over the cultivated fields with the mountains and the sea in the background.
When you want to discover this route in summer, we recommend doing it at dusk. Because the reddish tones of the slowly hiding sun are a delight for the eyes. With a bit of luck, you can see the sunset in the sea when you arrive in Javea. Keep in mind that the sun sets earlier in winter if you plan to do the tour.
The best way to end is to enjoy the historical center of Jávea or to have a drink in the port. When the weather is good and you are brave enough you can take dive to relax the muscles.
Do not forget to have your telephone charged so you can make lots of pictures while you enjoy the route.
