Modernist Route of Alcoy

This city was a pioneer in the Industrial Revolution in Spain. At that time, modernism was at its peak and the bourgeois alcoyanos decided that this would be the style in which they would build their houses. Therefore they trusted architects such as Vicente Pascual Pastor and Timoteo Briet Montagud with their designs. The modernist route of Alcoy is part of the European modernism route.
