Bad weather could cost you dearly
The terrible storm “Gloria” has ravaged many coastal towns of Costa Blanca and has caused a lot of storm damage. Her name comes from the Latin word glorious but she did not bring any of that. Actually one can wonder who picks the names for such disastrous storms and natural phenomenons.
Social media and newspapers showed us the images of the massive destruction this force of nature has brought us. This storm destroyed large parts of the beautiful promenades in Calpe and Jávea. It costs a lot of time and effort to rebuild them. In Altea and Albir the sea has thrown lots of debris and rocks against the shops and restaurants at the seafront. All along the Costa Blanca lots of trees have snapped and walls have fallen over. On top of that light posts and advertising, signs have broken down.
The town halls of the affected municipalities are determinating the storm damage. Therefore they put all their effort into what needs to be done to repair and clean everything. As a result, they hope to restore the damages to how it was before. Let us all hope that the repairs can be done sooner than later to keep enjoying our beautiful Costa Blanca.
Storms and Insurance
Those who have suffered storm damage to their house, garden, property, or car have to contact their insurance company and see if the damage is covered. Many people who have not suffered damage reflect on what happened and question what their actual insurance policy really covers.
We are no insurance brokers and have no expertise in what type of insurance may or may not cover these types of storm damage. The advice we have to our readers is to contact their insurance company and check what policy they have. Make sure you have the best coverage possible.
If you want more information about insurance and coverage or you want to see if you can find a better insurance proposal than your current one, we encourage you to check out the insurance companies listed in our guide simply by following this link.
