The three places that we visit on this route are the MARQ (the Provincial Archaeological Museum of Alicante), the Roman archaeological site of Lucentum, and the Iberian and Roman remain of Illeta dels Banyets in El Campello.

The TRAM allows us to travel from one place to the next comfortably and to enjoy the views of the coast of Alicante, San Juan, and El Campello.

MARQ

The MARQ is one of the best interactive museums in the Valencian Community. Besides that, it is also is very easily accessible for people with disabilities. This museum helps us to discover the past origins and evolution of Costa Blanca.

Lucentum

Lucentum is one of the most important Iberian-Roman sites because of the excellent conservation.

The walls of the city, the streets, the deposits, the thermal baths, the forum, the shops, and the houses are all visible. Keep your camera ready to take pictures so you can always look back at the pictures and remember this wonderful place.

L’illeta dels Banyets

L’illeta dels Banyets (the isle of the baths) is the archaeological site of El Campello. It stands out because it perfectly shows the historical and cultural sequence of the area. As a result, elements from the Bronze Age, as well as Islamic and Iberian remains are on display.

The advantage to travel by TRAM is the fact that you can start in El Campello and travel to Lucentum to finish in the MARQ museum. Or you start at the MARQ and travel north towards El Campello.

The TRAMS have a 30-minute departure schedule, therefore you will not have to worry about waiting too long at the different stations.
